W. M. Von-Maszewski is Department Manager of the Genealogy and Local History at George Memorial Library in Richmond, Texas. Born and raised in Europe, he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.  He taught anthropology and German and did production and inventory control in the oilfield-related industry.  He has produced or collaborated on several publications, Joe Rader Roberts: Painter of the American West; The (Texas) Legislative Process; Index to the Trail Drivers of Texas; Handbook and Registry of German-Texan Heritage; The German Volksfest in Brenham, Texas and Jeff Dykes: Conservationist, Collector, Scholar.  Mr. Von-Maszewski is a member of the Western History Association, Texas State Historical Association, Texas Folklore Society, German-Texan Heritage Society, Civil War Round Table and the Houston Genealogical Forum.
